What is Studyclout?

Studyclout is an academic platform that unifies lecture notes, summaries, course discussions, faculty communities, events, and student jobs in one place. It replaces the scattered WhatsApp groups, Google Drive folders, Discord servers, and Facebook groups that students typically use today.

Course context is the connecting thread: materials, questions, study groups, and dates hang off the course they belong to instead of disappearing into separate tools. Opening a course shows its documents, its open questions, and its upcoming dates in the same view.

Who is Studyclout for?

Studyclout is built for university students across all institutions in the DACH region, regardless of program. The platform is free, GDPR-compliant, and available in German and English.

Beyond individual students, student councils and university clubs use Studyclout to run their community, their announcements, and their events. Employers reach students at specific universities and in specific programs through student job listings.

Features at a glance

Study materials

Upload, search, like, and save notes, summaries, and past exams. PDFs render in the browser, and highlights and notes can be added per document and shared.

Course discussions

Threaded questions and answers per course, with likes, tags, and saved posts. Instead of an unsearchable chat history, every question stays findable next to its answer.

Communities

Open and closed groups scoped to faculty, program, or study group, with admin roles, join requests, and verification badges for official student councils.

Events

Student events — free or ticketed — including RSVPs, recurring dates, and reminders.

Collaborative writing

Real-time collaborative document editing, so study groups write one shared summary instead of several diverging copies.

Chat

One-to-one and group chats for study groups, plus notifications in-app, via web push, and by email.

Student jobs

Working-student roles, internships, student-assistant positions, and graduate openings, filtered by university and field of study.

How do I get started?

  1. Sign up for free with your university email address.
  2. Pick your university and field of study — this determines the courses and communities you see.
  3. Add your courses and browse the materials and discussions already there.
  4. Upload your own documents, ask questions, and follow events.

How much does Studyclout cost?

Studyclout is completely free for students. There are no premium tiers, no paywalls, and no advertising in study materials. Only employer offerings and some commercial events are paid — none of which costs students anything.

Where is Studyclout available?

Studyclout serves students in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (the DACH region). The platform is operated by Vissential Services (Vincent Agwu), based in Saarbrücken, Germany. The interface is available in German and English.

Privacy

Studyclout is built to be GDPR-compliant: data is processed in the EU and the operator is the data controller. Documents can be shared anonymously, and closed communities are visible only to their members.
